Minecraft is a survival game launched in 2011, in which the player explores a world created entirely out of blocks. To survive, players use all kinds of tools, ranging from swords to pickaxes. After the initial survival phase, players are encouraged to upgrade their tools using better materials. By this they can build more interesting houses and feel a sense of progress in the game. The game also has a hunger system, making the player grow grain, vegetables and even fruits. If one desires, they can also breed animals for leather and meat.
Apart from all this, there is a special mineral called “Redstone”, used for constructing in-game version of electrical circuits and many other things.
Minecraft isn’t only a survival game. There is a version of Minecraft named “Minecraft Education”, a useful tool for school education. It’s possible usage ranges from math or physics to even electrical engineering or biology.

This game hit the stores in 2014. The player plays as a robot moving across gardens pieced together from the backdrops of different historical eras. The game is full of puzzles that get harder the more we progress, making the players use their brains in a way that is fun. After all the puzzling, one can enjoy the beautiful in-game world.
The game takes the player to Antiquity, Ancient Egypt or Medieval Europe.
Because of all that was previously mentioned, the game could perhaps be used by pupils from the age of 10. In this age, it is the first time that pupils encounter tasks requiring more of their brainpower, mainly in math. This is why the game could be useful for them.
Besides all of this, the game touches some philosophical questions like immortality, the meaning of life etc., raising interesting questions for the player to think about.
The game will run on almost all devices but sadly it is only in English.
The game is available on Steam.
